Dr. Andrew Wallace (BEng(hons) PhD EurIng) is Director of Research at the Earth Organization for Sustainability, and a research engineer at Umeå University, Sweden.

In his own words:  “I am a member of EOS because.. I don’t see today’s socioeconomic system as sustainable and we need a realistic alternative. Most other solutions tend to work within today’s system and I don’t see that as workable; we need to redesign from the start.

During my free time I like to.. Build robots, paint, study, spend time with the family.

The future… Will get worse as we cling to this system but I am hopeful that we have the intelligence to move away from this debt based money system and build a better future that’s in balance with nature.”

Singularity Utopia
has blogged about the Singularity since 2010. Singularity Utopia thinks super-intelligence will be utterly lucid to all, and easily accessible. There will be no threat or risk. AI will NOT destroy or enslave humans. Singularity Utopia advocates Singularity Modernism, which is an atheist and anti-establishment view of super-intelligence. Singularity Traditionalism advocates fear-mongering about Godlike mysteriousness about dangerous, unpredictable, incomprehensible, or unfathomable explosive intelligence of AGI.

The utopian lucidity of Singularity Modernism redirects focus to #BasicIncome and #PostScarcity. Irrational AI-paranoia is rejected. Follow Singularity Utopia on Twitter @2045singularity or Google Plus +Singularity-2045.
