Changes to Transhumanity.net
Posted: Tue, February 26, 2013
Transhumanity.net is currently undergoing a change in management. Zero State, a group of individuals with similar ideals, has taken the reigns of this website and will be running it for the foreseeable future. But what does that mean?
Zero State (ZS or 25)is a virtual nation, based on positive futurist idealism, similar to Max More’s concept of Extropianism. This means that, although transhumanism is a part of the Zero State mindset, it is not all we are interested in. So, although T-Net is now perhaps the most visible product of ZS, it is not our only work. You can check out zerostate.net for more of that.

So what will be the result here on T-Net? Well, first, there may be some cosmetic changes. Secondly, in keeping with Zero State’s dislike of any person gaining too much control over something, we will have a rotating group of editors. Although there is still going to be an Editor-In-Chief of Transhumanity.net, hir “power” will be minimal, pretty much overseeing the Daily Editors to make sure that nobody is stepping on anyone else’s virtual toes.
We will have a series of editors who each take a day of the week, and who specialize in one or two topics of transhumanism and futurism. For instance, former Editor-In-Chief Hank Pellissier will be the Wednesday Editor, and he will oversee articles, videos, and other goodies that deal with Longevity and Immortality Research. I will be the Friday Editor, and I will post things related to transhumanism and futurism in Pop Culture and the forming subculture of transhumanism. Expect these changes to occur starting March 1st (which coincidentally happens to be Future Day)
If you are currently a writer for Transhumanity.net, continue sending in your articles whenever you like. The appropriate Daily Editor will post the article on hir day.
If you would like to contribute, send your work into transhumanitydotnet@gmail.com. We will pretty much publish anything related to transhumanism and futurism, as long as it stays on topic. You might also have a difficult time getting your work seen if it is amazingly negative in tone or hateful toward any idea or group, even ones that are anti-future, anti-tech, anti-H+, etc. The new T-Net is all about ideas and how we can change the world for the better, not dwell on what’s wrong. We leave that to many, many other websites and news organizations.
Onward and Upward,
