Startup Societies Summit – July 1-3, 2016 –  Tech Entrepreneurs, Policy Makers, Economists, and more to gather in Portsmouth New Hampshire over the summer to discuss new societies.

The Startup Societies Summit is the world’s first ever conference to discuss the implications of new societies.

In recent years, the number of new societies has dramatically increased. Private cities are enabling millions in the developing world to experience Western standards of living. Elsewhere, such as in Europe, separatism is constantly creating new countries every few decades.

Startup Societies 2016 will specifically look at the history of seasteading. We will also have speakers discussing the rise of Silicon Valley, and exploring why attempts to replicate it have failed. We expect these, and many more topics, to be discussed.

Our conference is the first which attempts to address the benefits and risks involved in the creation of new societies. Current attendees include entrepreneurs, investors, science fiction authors, economists, and more. We are inviting a very diverse and multicultural roster of guests which we will be announcing in the coming months.

The conference has no general admissions, although anyone is free to apply to attend the conference on our website.
